Who is this earth science geek anyways?

Welcome all!

My name is Hana (or soon-to-be Ms. Goldstein). I completed my undergraduate degree at SUNY New Paltz in Geography and Environmental Studies. Yes, I am super passionate about maps and my friends have to physically drag me away from those aesthetically pleasing map posters you often see in artsy book stores.

I look forward to receiving my MS in Earth Science Adolescent Education and becoming an Earth Science Teacher in the near future. I want to share with you, and my future students, that everything in the world is built upon the Earth, grows on the Earth, or depends on the environment in some way. Today, more than ever, it is our responsibility to understand how we have and continue to impact our planet.

Let this be a place where you see the planet through my eyes and hopefully learn a bit about the educational realm along the way!

Pictured is me standing on the coolest place on earth, aka the Giant’s Causeway, located along the north coast of Northern Ireland. These hexagonal basalt columns are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. THIS is why I love earth science!
