I presented three research papers at the American Educational Research Association in Chicago IL on STARS. The first session was a research study on Hope and Possibility of using the Next Generation Science Standards (NRC, 2012) to realize equity and social justice for students who have been traditionally marginalized in schools like many of our African American, financially poor Science STARS.

The second paper/presentation was exploring what it means to learn to teach in after school (informal) environments. My study focused on the need for pedagogical relationships to nurture scientific rigor and youth autonomy.
